Online Qualifier Rounds
All are Personal Endeavour rounds played by individual participants, remotely
Classic

Classic is a traditional competition round done using online proctoring software on your personal device. The round has 24 challenging problems. These comprise 12 independent problems and 6 problem pairs, which are pairs of problems where the second uses the answer from the first in some way.
Only pen, ruler, compass, and scratch paper are permitted. No other technology is allowed.
Junior level: 60-minutes
Senior level: 90-minutes
Duel

Duel is a fun one-on-one mathematical game where you compete with other participants in quick succession. The game is different in every event, so be prepared to learn it on the day itself!
During the 60-minute Duel round, you will rotate opponents and play multiple games against each one to determine a winner. A win is worth 3 points, a draw 1 point, and a loss is 0 points.
Crypto Online

Crypto Online tests your deduction and algorithmic thinking. You are given 3 mathematical operations and must use them to combine sets of 4 numbers to make a target number. The twist is that you won’t know what the operations do!
Using the built-in calculator, enter expressions using these operations to decode your way to each solution. Be ready to think on your feet, because the operations change every 20 minutes in this 60-minute round.
Cycle: Part 1

Within 60 minutes, solve a cycle of 3 maths problems and write out your thought process and how you arrived at your answer. Every problem in the cycle uses the answer of the previous problem, thus creating a loop.
Evidence of logical and creative thinking is rewarded more than just final answers being stated.
Lightning

Through video proctoring software, Lightning provides the opportunity to showcase your verbal communication skills. Within 30 minutes, sketch notes on the digital whiteboard and talk through your method in solving 5 quick-fire problems, just like a maths teacher does in class, and how most university interviews are also conducted!
